Resolving User Suspension by Google

Google Workspace has rules in place to automatically suspend an email account considered at risk of being compromised or spamming. If your account is suspended, worry not as this is a known issue especially if sending cold emails. Rest assured, this does not affect deliverability and reputation score.

Top reasons for user suspension by Google:

Google is receiving a lot of spamming complaints from other users against your email account.
The user sends to many emails on a daily basis
Detection of possible compromise of the said email address

Additional factors that may lead to having your account suspended:

Accessing your Google account from various locations/IPs
Usage of unsecured third party applications to control the user’s account

Below are the steps to reactivate a suspended account.

Go to to access the Google Workspace Admin Console. Log-in using your administrator credentials.
Navigate to your organization’s user list by clicking on Users from the Admin Console dashboard.
Scroll down through the list of users or use the search bar to locate the suspended user. The status should say Suspended.
Click to open the suspend user’s account details. Select the Reactivate button in the upper right hand of the screen.
A pop-up window will appear to confirm the action. Click on Reactivate to proceed.
The user’s status should be updated from Suspended to Active
